Meet Our Makers
These are many of our makers under one roof!
Photo from our Grand Opening at 122 Main Street in February 2025.
Hello, my name is Tara. I started Hand Stamped Whimsy & Crystals a few years ago. I began hand stamping metal as a creative outlet to help cope with grief. As I honed my skills, I began incorporating crystals & gemstones into my jewelry and that grew into a full crystal shop. I’ve been a rock hound all my life, so it only seems natural for me to have found my way here.
I began attending craft shows & events where I met so many talented makers in our community! I thought it would be such a special opportunity for makers like us to have a space where we could promote and sell our items on our own terms. As one small business, this seemed insurmountable... but with a community, it was possible!
We opened our doors at Locale Makers Market on June 17, 2022 in Somerset, Wisconsin. We opened our second location in Stillwater less than a year later on April 22, 2023. After realizing the challenges of managing two locations, we decided to streamline and make Stillwater our home.
Grief is something I have the misfortune of being familiar with. After grappling with the life changing illness of one of my children and experiencing a series of tough losses, I lost my sister in January, 2022. My sister was a proud veteran and I promised her I would do all the things she wasn’t able to do. She shared with me her dream of having a small shop for her refinished furniture where anyone could find a bargain & feel welcome... I never set out to be a small business owner, but eventually I gave in & listened to this persistent nudge. I am so glad I did, as this has been a life changing experience... All for the better! Throughout these challenges, I have become deeply connected to my spirituality and have spent the last few years training to become a Reiki Master, certified crystal healer and most recently, a certified sound healer. I have recently rebranded my business name to be TLC Energy Works. I have a small but sacred healing space in Stillwater where I see friends for reiki & sound healing. If you feel so inclined, please reach out to me to learn about booking a session or a sound bath & guided meditation.
On any given day when you visit our shop, you may encounter any one of our talented makers. The crew we have here are some of the hardest working, brave, kind, generous and caring people I have ever known. It has been a blessing to work with each and every one of them! Every person teaches me something new & I am so grateful to have the opportunity to work with so many small business owners.
Emily Larson
Brushed and BaubledHow I began:
Hello, my name is Emily Larson and I started Brushed and Baubled in 2023. As a child, I ran around in Stillwater with my parents as they had an antique store in Stillwater. I’ve always loved the area. I lived in Stillwater for five years and now live in a neighboring community.
After a long career in the beauty industry, I contracted Covid in November 2022. Unfortunately, my symptoms have never totally gone away, and I was diagnosed with Long Covid. Through the agony of headaches and other symptoms I started diving into art, including painting, beadwork, and vintage jewelry. It was one of the only things that helped me get through my pain.
Upon cleaning my mother’s jewelry box I realized there were so many beautiful costume jewelry pieces that it inspired me to start adding them to my art. I now do custom vintage jewelry art pieces, cigar box purses, painting, and other mixed media art. My art has been a savior in my recovery and ability to try and maintain normalcy in my Long Covid journey. I hope you enjoy my pieces.

Hi, we are Chester & Anna. At This'NThat, we focus on creating eclectic, fun, and useful items that you don't see everyday - from discarded or all natural items. We up-cycle glass, crystal, pottery, and more to create unique bird feeders and birdhouses. Anna resurrects the ancient art of broom-making to create one-of-a-kind cobweb brooms, whisk brooms, Besom brooms, cast iron pot-scrubbers, and more - all from naturally grown and harvested items! I enjoy working with wood and the wood lathe, not only in creating pens, bottle stoppers, seam ripper's, and much more from local and exotic woods - but also in coaxing and creating those items that are hiding in a piece of discarded/felled wood. We welcome custom orders! We do not have a website, but you may contact us via email to request custom orders.
Hello! I am Darcie Schmitz Tessmer and I am the owner and Herbalist at Capernaum Herbals. I live with my husband and 3 children in Woodbury, MN. My family is my world and the drive behind my business. I have been informally studying herbalism for over 20 years and started doing formal herbal education about 5 years ago. My journey with herbs began when I was trying things to help with some of my own health issues and turned into an ongoing passion for herbalism. I am fascinated with herbs and all natural wellness modalities.
I am a studying Master Herbalist at the Wild Rose College of Herbal Medicine and have studied at many other herbal schools and take classes whenever I get the chance. The thing with herbalism is that there is ALWAYS something new to learn, which I LOVE. I am a Quantum Biofeedback Practitioner with Genius Insight Biofeedback and love to incorporate Energy Medicine and Frequencies into my wellness routine. I am also a Licensed PWA Holistic Practitioner.
My passion is developing products that others can easily incorporate into their life to enjoy the many benefits of herbs and also educating others on the benefits and ways they can incorporate herbalism into their daily routine (herbal teas are an awesome way to do this). I also love educating others on herbalism that may not know alot about it or have misconceptions on what it can do. Seeing my ideas and products come to life is something that is so fulfilling. I love finding new combinations of herbs and especially LOVE blending teas. All of my products are hand made with much love in very small batches. Most of the herbs in my salves are grown in my gardens or foraged locally. All other herbs used are ethically sourced and organic, local when possible.
Becoming a part of the Locale Makers Market is a DREAM COME TRUE! I am so excited to be able to offer herbal products to others and also offer classes to help educate people on different herbal goodness. I feel so incredibly blessed and thankful to be a part of this community and looking forward to learning from the other talented Makers and meeting customers! Please feel free to reach out with questions, requests or to schedule consultations both for herbs and frequencies.

Hi! I'm Maggie. Though I am originally from Chicago, I have lived in Minnesota for the last decade. Weather Writer Book Art is a part time venture of mine, combining my love of books with my wanting to help clear the environment of unnecessary trash. I use old, mostly thrifted, books and turn them into art for bookshelves, table centerpieces and more! Each design is done by hand, by me, and made with love and care. The name 'The Weather Writer' is inspired by my other two loves, weather and writing, which I have combined my entire life. I work as an aviation meteorologist while also dreaming of writing and publishing a book one day. When not making old books into art, I usually read, review and share my love for books on my blog! When not interacting with books or staring at clouds, I spend time playing tennis and hanging out with my chonky cat, Gizmo.
Hi, I'm Geoff. I was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and for the past eight years I’ve called Stillwater, where I live with my wife and our two daughters, home. Yoshishige Design is more than a woodworking hobby—it’s a way to honor both sides of my family. The name pays tribute to my mother’s side, while the craft of woodworking honors my father’s side.
I love creating pieces that are not only beautiful but also functional—items meant to be used, admired, and enjoyed for years to come. Beyond woodworking, I’m passionate about music and the guitar, and I’ve even had the joy of building a couple of instruments myself. Yoshishige Design is where tradition, creativity, and craftsmanship meet, with each piece carrying a story of family and artistry.
Spirit Delights is a unique eco-friendly company that crafts candles from recycled and repurposed spirit bottles filled with cocktail-inspired scents.
About Me
After decades of corporate America and raising my two children (but always a crafter at heart), I now have a chance to put my artist skills to work. My husband and I live in Minnetonka, MN and this is also where I set up shop!
Our Process
I start by collecting donated and recycled glass bottles, carefully selected to preserve the essence of the spirits they once held. Each vessel is hand-cut and hand-sanded to transform these bottles into stunning candle vessels.
Our Scents
I then hand-pour upcycled bottles with a premium soy wax, infused with cocktail inspired fragrance oils that conjoins with the spirit and bottle. Each scent is a custom creation. I aim to translate the layers from the liquor, fruit and spices and create a cocktail inspired scent for the candle.
Sustainability
Spirit Delights has a deep commitment to sustainability but also giving back to those who serve our nation. By repurposing and upcycling old bottles, we aim to reduce waste and create something new and usable. We are also proud supporters of our military community. We donate a portion of our sales to the Believet Canine Service Partners. This wonderful organization provides highly trained service dogs, free of charge to disabled veterans to help them lead a more productive life. With your purchase (or empty bottle donation) you not only bring the charm of candles into your home but also contribute to a noble cause.
Thank you for being a part of my passion and story. I hope to illuminate homes, hearts, and the lives of all, while thanking those who bravely serve our nation.
Raise a glass and cheers to sustainable living and join us on this remarkable journey – welcome to Spirit Delights!
I’m Clare, a Minnesota-based stained glass artist and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). I started Clare Beardsley Art LLC in 2022 as a way to share my love of creating with glass and my deep appreciation for the natural world.
Every piece I make is handcrafted using the traditional Tiffany method. I carefully cut, grind, foil, and solder each piece of glass, bringing together colors and shapes that reflect the beauty I see around me. Many of my designs are inspired by plants, butterflies, birds, and other wonders found in nature!
Outside of the studio, I love spending time outdoors hiking, camping, exploring new places, and being with my dogs and family. Many of my creative ideas begin while simply noticing the plants and wildlife around me.
My work as a mental health therapist also influences my creative life. I believe both art and nature have the ability to slow us down and bring moments of reflection, grounding, and calm. Through stained glass, I hope to create pieces that capture light and bring a little warmth, color, and peaceful beauty into everyday spaces.
Hello, My name is Amy. I am the card and paper crafter behind Amy P StampNScrap. I am a wife and mother (1 daughter and 1 son). I am excited to share my creations of cards, frames, journals and other items made with paper with all of you at Locale Makers Market.
I have been creating cards for over 15 years. I started this hobby just to make cards for my family and friends. To send something special to the many people in our lives who mean the most. A small handmade card goes a long way. I host a small group in my home once a month to stamp cards for their families. Since I started this journey I have had the pleasure of making wedding invitations, shower invites and selling my cards. When I had the opportunity to add cards and such to Local Makers shop, I couldn’t resist. What started as a hobby has certainly grown and I couldn’t do what I do without the support of my husband!
Come and check out my Facebook page: Amy P StampNScrap This is where I share cards that we have created at classes and other items I am working on. I usually don’t make more than 5 of each card, so if there is something you see that you are interested in, I am more than happy to recreate for you.
Hi, I'm Adrian, the proud owner of Fancy Bee Beauty, a small skincare business based out of Minnesota. Prior to venturing into the world of skincare, I dedicated 19 years of my life as a 911 dispatcher, serving and assisting my community.
In 2020, amidst the challenges of the Covid pandemic, I decided to follow my passion and start Fancy Bee Beauty. Drawing from my experience as a 911 dispatcher, where I witnessed the importance of self-care and the need for moments of tranquility, I embarked on this entrepreneurial journey to create a line of skincare products that prioritize nourishment and well-being. I had my products in Locale in 2022, but life happens & I scaled back for a time. I’m back now & ready to share my carefully curated products with you!
At Fancy Bee Beauty, I believe that self-care is not just a luxury, but a necessity. My mission is to enhance your natural beauty and promote self-confidence through my carefully crafted skincare line. I understand that taking care of oneself is not always easy, especially when juggling the responsibilities of being a parent, a spouse and an employee. That's why my products are designed to be accessible and effective, allowing you to indulge in moments of self-care that rejuvenate both your skin and soul.
With a focus on clean and natural ingredients, my products are formulated to deliver results without compromising on your health, the environment or your paycheck. I am committed to promoting sustainability and luxury skincare, that won’t break the bank!
Thank you for joining me on this journey of self-care and natural beauty. I am excited to be a part of your skincare routine and help you embrace your inner radiance.
I’ll see you soon at Locale Makers Market! Stop in and say hello!
My name is Laura and I am a local stained glass artist. I live here in Stillwater with my husband and two daughters, and also work full-time as a social worker. In my spare time I love to read, enjoy live music, camp, hike, snowboard, ski and mountain bike. Does anyone else feel like there is just not enough time in the day?!
I first learned how to work with stained glass back in a high school art class. I enjoyed it immensely and tinkered around for several years, but didn’t have the right tools or space to be able to fully dive in. In 2019, another stained glass artist was selling off his studio and generously set me up with the basics, and I haven’t looked back! I absolutely love working with stained glass and appreciate that it is having such a contemporary renaissance! I enjoy creating nature-inspired, bright, colorful panels, sun catchers and household decor, such as bookends and candle holders. In addition to Locale, I hope to get involved in more art fairs and will be open to commissions periodically throughout the year.
Stained glass has been my hobby, my self-care and one of my favorite ways to get lost in the flow. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to share my work with you!
Hi! We are Sun Creations by Tat. We are a mother-daughter duo. We create luminescent sun catchers as well as an assortment of bag chains.
Our sun catchers make a perfect gift for any occasion and they are the perfect accent piece for any room. They bring positive energy to any setting.
Let us brighten up your space!
I’m Brian B. of Lakeland Alpacas.
Stillwater, MN - Originally from Saint Paul
For over 10 years, I raised a herd of Suri and Huacaya alpacas in Mora, Minnesota. During that time, I co-owned an alpaca show in Owatonna and helped organize a fiber festival in Cambridge.
Though I no longer raise alpacas, I still work with the fiber and yarn from my herd to create cozy, handmade items - like yarn, socks, mittens, and hand-crocheted goods.
Find my work at Locales Makers Market (since May 2025). Ask me anything about alpacas or fiber arts - I love to chat!

Hi there! I’m Megan — a maker, homesteader, and outdoor enthusiast from Minnesota. I love creating handcrafted products inspired by simple living, nature, and tradition.
I started making tallow-based skincare in 2022, using suet from the steers we butchered. What began as a way to nourish my own skin naturally quickly grew into something more. In early 2025, after lots of encouragement from friends and family, Wild Crafted Kitchen MN was born!
Each product is thoughtfully handcrafted in small batches, using clean, natural ingredients — rooted in my love for homegrown living. I hope to see you soon at Locale!
Hi! I'm Jess, and I have been making Aspen Owl creations for several years. I love seeing my ideas come to life in my creations. My beautiful lasered round top hairpin leg tables and laser wood art pieces are some of my favorites to make. I also carry a line of charcuterie and cutting boards that are uniquely lasered with sayings and art. To add a little softness with all the wood, I have some gorgeous macramé wall swags and plant holders that add beautiful texture to any room. My newest creation is a line of lasered and hand painted hair clips. I love to complete custom orders and work with my clients to turn their thoughts into beautiful creations. When not creating, making, and building, I balance six children, dogs, and a small vintage store. I am thrilled to join the Locale Makers Market in Stillwater, and look forward to sharing my creations with all of you!
Hello, I'm Elaine Schultz, the owner and artist of This and That Glass. My fascination with glass began as a young girl sitting in church, admiring the sunlight through the stained glass windows. The colored shadows always gave me a warm and cozy feeling. I started working with glass while I was a social worker. Creating with glass allowed me to express the emotions I experienced while helping others heal and change. Glass is a versatile medium that allows me to explore various techniques. I enjoy experimenting with different methods, such as creating my own glass colors by pouring enamels on the glass and making them permanent in the kiln with heat. Combining glass with heat-colored copper produces whimsical and unique art. I'm thrilled to partner with Locale Makers Market and share my beautiful glass creations with you.
Hello, I am the proud owner of Sierra Oden LLC. Making and creating one of a kind resin pieces is a love of mine. That said, I have taken a deep dive into the world of Light up frogs and hanging moons. I started my business selling handmade jewelry which introduced me to the resin hobby. From there, my design for the Moon hangings came to life. Hand chosen charms and one of a kind epoxy pours make every piece unique. My frog lamps are equally individual and so much fun to create. Having the opportunity to share my art with others has been an absolute dream come true. I am beyond thrilled to be joining Locale Makers Market alongside so many talented makers!
Feel free to follow me on TikTok @sierraoden

Discover the Magic of fashion; Re'Newed by Shayla
Are you tired of cookie-cutter fashion that lacks soul and uniqueness? Look no further! Let me introduce you to the world of upcycled clothing—a delightful blend of creativity, sustainability, and individuality. What Is Upcycling? Upcycling is the art of transforming discarded materials into something new and beautiful. It’s not just about repurposing old clothes; it’s about breathing fresh life into forgotten fabrics. Each piece tells a story—of reinvention, resourcefulness, and eco-conscious choices.
Why Choose My Upcycled Creations?
- One-of-a-Kind Designs: When you buy from me, you’re getting a piece that no one else owns. My upcycled garments are as unique as you are. From vintage-inspired dresses to funky accessories, every creation is a labor of love.
- Sustainability Matters: By choosing upcycled fashion, you’re making a positive impact on the planet. You’re saying no to fast fashion’s wasteful practices and embracing a greener lifestyle. Feel good about your fashion choices!
- Local Connection: I source materials from local thrift stores (my friends at HOF might see me more than their families), giving a nod to our community and reducing our carbon footprint. When you wear my upcycled clothes, you’re supporting local businesses and artisans.
- Fashion with Heart: My creations aren’t just clothes; they’re wearable stories. Imagine wearing a skirt made from a vintage tablecloth or a jacket with patches from old concert tees. It’s nostalgia meets style.
Step into a world where fashion meets conscience. Embrace the magic of upcycling, and let’s make sustainable choices together. 🌟
Hi, I’m Ashlynn, the owner of Cashery. I bake homemade dog treats made with love and simple, high-quality ingredients.
Cashery began with a simple goal: to bake the best treats possible—not just for my own dogs, but for others, too. When we adopted Cash and then Casper, I became that pet parent—the one who scrutinizes every ingredient label and refuses to settle for anything but the best. But I didn’t just want to bake for my own dogs—I wanted to share that same love and quality with other pups, including those still waiting for their forever homes. So, I set out to make it happen.
I learned the rules, figured out how to do it the right way, and turned my passion for baking into something bigger. Now, with our tiny but mighty business, we get to whip up extra treats and donate them to the shelter. What started as a simple idea has grown into a full-blown mission, and the best part? I get to share it with you.

My name is Sarah. Born and raised in New Jersey, I’ve called Minnesota home for over 10 years. Along the way, I’ve become a Vikings fan, a Disney World fanatic, and a proud Swiftie. I live in Farmington, MN with my husband, Jason, and our spoiled (and very round) cat, Sundae. My 22-year-old stepson, Daniel, pops in from time to time.
Jersey Girl Design Co. started as a creative outlet when I began painting my laser-cut wood earrings as a way to relieve stress. Before long, my jewelry box was overflowing… and that’s when this little hobby grew into something bigger. I started signing up for craft fairs and have loved every minute of helping customers find pieces that feel just right. Since then, I’ve expanded into creating earrings and necklaces from polymer clay, acrylic, brass charms, and beads, while still keeping my love for wood designs at the heart of my work. I hope my earrings bring as much happiness to you as I feel while making them!

Hi! My name is Megan Putler and I am the owner of Stabby Stitches Stitchery. I love to sew colorful, whimsical, and (importantly) functional purses, totes, pouches, and other bits and bobs. You'll often find movie, pop culture, and horror movie themed items in my shop. I am a huge horror movie fan, and I love to bring some fun details to a bag - things like Pennywise's red balloon, the carpet patterns from the Overlook Hotel, and a few Xenomorphs for good measure. I learned to sew as a child from my very talented mom, proceeded to forget nearly everything she taught me, and then I relearned in recent years after receiving a sewing machine for Christmas. I've been a bag-making fiend ever since!
I was born and raised in Wisconsin, but I've called Minnesota home for the past 22 years. When I'm not sewing, I love to dabble in gardening, poke around antique shops, and cross stitch. In fact, I am the 2019 Minnesota State Fair Cross Stitch champion! I have the most perfect dog on the planet, my boxer named Dot. She's silly, and sweet, and is made of 98% wiggles and 2% brain cells.
I am so excited to be a part of the Locale family of makers!
